The article also investigates genre influences from Westerns, noir fiction, and hardboiled detective stories, demonstrating how Child reinvents the trope for contemporary audiences. Additionally, it discusses Reacher’s cultural significance, his enduring popularity, and potential future directions for the wandering hero archetype in literature.
