RITUAL-SCENARIO TYPE OF CONCEPTS (BASED ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE CONCEPT “KHOROVOD”)

Abstract

The article analyzes a special type of concepts – the ritual-scenario type. As a representative example, the concept “khorovod” in Russian linguoculture is examined. The relevance of the study lies in the identification of a new type of concepts whose existence is conditioned by folk culture. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the first attempt to describe the concept “khorovod” within the context of Russian linguoculture. The aim of the article is to provide a description of the concept “khorovod” in the Russian linguistic worldview. The research was carried out in two stages: first, the motivating features of the concept under study were identified; second, the components of the "khorovod" concept scenario were revealed. The prospects for further research on the concept highlighted: first, a detailed study of its structural development; second, its examination in other linguocultures; and third, its exploration in individual authorial worldviews.
