СЕМИОТИКАЛЫҚ РЕДУКЦИОНИЗМ: ФИЛОСОФИЯЛЫҚ АСПЕКТ

Abstract

Annotation. This article examines the concept of the semiosphere (system of signifying means) as a phenomenon and attribute of culture. It should be noted that culture is the subject of study in many humanities disciplines, but each has its own specific characteristics and research methodology. The closest are philosophy of culture, cultural studies and semiotics.

The author attempts to establish the socio-ontological status of sign system. It has been noted that credit for its research in semiotics belongs to the Tartu-Moscow School of Semiotics, led by Yuri Lotman who highlighted the semiotic aspect of culture, reducing all cultural content to integrity. This is essentially semiotic reductionism. Yuri Lotman’s informational-cybernetic semiotics is also shown which presented culture based on the theory of information and artificial intelligence.

The author analyses giving cultural or natural phenomena meaning, significance or meaning of semiotic status. It has been notes that this phenomenon has semiotic properties, symbolic significance. An analysis of concepts of the real and the ideal has been carried out: a real object, while not actually present, existed ideally. The article shows that value, significance, and meaning cannot be derived from empirical-material characteristics of sign or symbol. An analysis of the symbolic system of the yurt has been carried out where each element of yurt structure has semiotic meaning. The author comes to conclusion that the phenomenon of the semiosphere should be considered as one of key dimensions of the entire culture, expressing the specificity of human symbolic existence in the world.
