MATERIALS OF THE STATE ARCHIVE OF THE WEST-KAZAKHSTAN REGION AS A SOURCE OF THE XX-XI CENTURIES HISTORICAL DATA OF THE REGION

Abstract

The analysis of the historical and cultural processes makes us refer to the regional archives, as written information sources that have been built up during the life of several generations. Among those archives, the funds of historical documents stand out, both for the quantitative contents and for the chronological frames covered by the material.  For a researcher that makes it possible to study the formation, development and peculiarities of the historical processes in a more objective way. Events of regional character may be depicted in a more detailed manner with the help of the local archives. The West-Kazakhstan archive has not been considered as a subject of scientific research yet, whereas it contains significant information on the development of the region. This article attempts to present the structure of the archive and give a brief description of the main content.
