Abstract
Pollution of soils with oil and petroleum products is an urgent environmental problem that requires the development of effective and environmentally friendly remediation methods. This study evaluated the comparative effectiveness of two types of biologics for cleaning oily soils: a ready-made synthetic biologics (FBS) and a specially developed biologics based on a consortium of native soil microorganisms (ABP). The studies were conducted on soil samples taken near the industrial zone of Alemtransoil LLP (West Kazakhstan Region) contaminated with oil from the Chinarevskoye oil field.
Experimental studies were carried out in laboratory conditions at a low ambient temperature (16-17 °C), simulating a cool climatic regime. The biological purification process was carried out using experimental batches of biologics. Assessment of contamination and remediation efficiency was carried out on the basis of determining key physical and chemical parameters of the soil, including the pH of the medium and the cationic-anionic composition, before and after cleaning. Statistical processing of experimental data was carried out using Student's t-test in Microsoft Excel. The results of the study made it possible to determine optimal approaches to biological reclamation of oil-contaminated areas, taking into account local climatic conditions.
