METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES OF IMPLEMENTING MICROLEARNING IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING
Abstract
The article explores the methodological foundations of implementing microlearning in English language teaching. It examines the theoretical concepts of microlearning, including its principles of learner autonomy, personalization, and reduction of cognitive load, while emphasizing its role in modern digital education. Special attention is given to the Kazakhstani educational context, where the national program “Digital Kazakhstan” promotes the integration of innovative technologies into the learning process. The study highlights that short, interactive learning units effectively enhance students’ motivation, support vocabulary retention, and foster active learning. The experimental findings confirm that microlearning-based lessons improve student engagement, autonomy, and overall performance in English learning. The article concludes that microlearning serves as a promising methodological framework for sustainable development of English language teaching in Kazakhstan, combining innovative pedagogy with the principles of digital education.
